The latest addition to the family is THE ARCANE ORDER, a band comprised by (former) members of INVOCATOR, RAUNCHY und AUTUMN LEAVES. Their history began in the year 2000 under the name SCAVENGER, when guitarist Flemming C. Lund started looking for a new field of activity. It wasn’t until 2004 though that the band entered the sacred halls of master producer Jacob Hansen’s studio (NEAERA, VOLBEAT, RAUNCHY, HATESPHERE, ILLDISPOSED, a.o.) to record a first demo. After a long search for a singer, the right man was found in Kasper Thomsen (RAUNCHY), whose variable voice fit the band’s melodic and technical state-of-the-art death/thrash perfectly.
Said demo CD gained the band massive label interest, with Metal Blade Records coming in first. Wasting no time, the band returned to Hansen Studios to record their debut "The Machinery Of Oblivion", an innovative and intense affair, which will be released in August 2006.
Here’s a piece of advice for all Danish bands: your biggest competitors now lurk among yourselves! (Source: Metal Blade Records)

by Björn Thorsten Jaschinski (11.07.2006) After one promo cd whose songs were completely re-recorded for this debut, the Danish newcomers, Scavenger renamed to The Arcane Order. The slightly unspecific, technical, cold cover artwork and the lack of a true logo shouldn't be overvalued: despite many connection points to the metal core epidemic, the Danes have enough traditional thrash and melodic metal basics. No wonder: what you have here is a bunch of members and ex-members of Raunchy, Invocator - their founding member, Jacob Hansen also served as the producer - or Autumn Leaves. Modernised was their passionate, yet not quite pioneering cocktail by keyboards and sampling ingredients as we know them of Callenish Circle or their country fellows, Illdisposed. Moderate, melodic vocals (“Bloodlust“) or more rocky grooves („Flames of liberation“) have also been included into this high percentage brew. Very explosive, indeed!
