The Punk rockers Bad Religion from Los Angeles with their studio album "The new America".

"The new America" is the end of an era. It is the last release of Bad Religion under the major Pop music label Atlantic Records. The disrespectful attitude of their early Punk Rock days is noticeable here and then (especially on the song "Let It Burn" written among others by Gurewitz).

by Fabian Groth (05/02) Is it necessary to say much about a new release of this band? Do you need a manual for the buttons of a telephone? Some things never change, no matter what time. Greg Graffin and his fellows are still underway for Punkrock, and no producer team con prevent them from doing so - not even one who worked together with Pop-names, like the Corrs and Bryan Adams, or pompous-bombastic artists, like Meat Loaf. Yet, listening to songs, like "It's a long way to the promise land", it becomes clear that the band-typical sound has become a bit more catchy, so that you could almost call it radio-compatible. Additionally regarding the 15 seconds of a drum loop in the beginning of "A world without melody", one could almost speak of new musical inventions...
