by Matthias Becker (29.09.2006) The Shock Rock of a Marilyn Manson or the exccentric stage shows of many Metal bands all have their godfather in Vincent Damon Furnier alias Alice Cooper. Artificial blood, frightening snakes and horrific effects - all this can be observed on this triumphant concert video. It became gruesome on Halloween eve 20 years ago in Vincent's hometown, Detroit. One of his most ingenious gigs featuring the milestone hits "School's out", "Welcome to my Nightmare" and "No more Mr. Nice Guy". Quite morbid and bizarre, when the master of sin murder lecherously makes a headlong dive through the Rock musical and in the end finds his head below the guillotine - Heavy Metal as a theatrical play. For the first time available on DVD, digitally reworked to top sound in 5.1 Dolby Digital and 2.0 Stereo Sound, only the pictures remind me a bit of the 80s. Bonus features are the videos for "Teenage Frankenstein" and "Freedom".
