Product description

Since Peter Wichers' return, the Swedish groove machine is on the fast lane again. "The panic broadcast" is a versatile, brute album, even dwarfing its very successful predecessor!

by Jürgen Tschamler (12.07.2010) Time flies - three years have passed already since Soilwork’s last killer album "Sworn to a great divide"... And now, they have to surpass that release which has turned out to be their most successful so far. A tough task, but no prob thanks to the return of Peter Wichers. It’s unbelievable how much impact one musician can have on a whole band! "The panic broadcast" is pure ear candy. The boys sound releaxed, relieved from any pressure or need for success - the ten new songs are versatile and off the whole array of Soilwork’s assets, from high speed stuff to mighty grooves. Check out "Late for the kill, early for the slaughter" - killer (pardon the poor pun, but it is as it is...)! You also get groove gems (including some melancholy parts) such as "Enter dog of pavlov", or catchy chart potential like "Night comes clean" (listen to that mighty chorus!). All this is enhanced by an ever-present, hefty, awesome guitar barrage - oh, and they have curbed the keyboard parts a bit, another positive development (at least, in my humble opinion).
