by Peter Kupfer (28.09.2010) Bring Me The Horizon are back. Already with the previous record these guys caused an uproar. Phenomenal hooklines combined with driving forces delighted not only critics but also fellow musicians and the public as well. The new stuff is like Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde: the ugly and brutal head of sinister metal on one hand and on the other sunny moments with electro and pop. Some guest appearances added from You Me At Six singer and Canadian singer Lights Poxleitner, the album have a fuller and varied sound. In general, it‘s a firework of different music styles without precedent. The flow is amazing and the motto seems “solutions from a single source“: choral singing extended with Death Metal elements, unpredictable breaks meets catchy moments. Completed by the masterful vocal performance of Oliver Sykes the Sheffield guys demonstrated in an impressive manner that this album will raise again the bar for upcoming Metal albums. Is it possible to overcome this record? Not in foreseeable future! They can and will turn the music world as we know it upside down. Album of the year 2010!
