by Oliver Kube (02.03.2010) Almost ten years after their debut "Zeitsein" and more than six years after their second release "Mortal", the Germans present us with their third output. On the menu: versatile Gothic Metal with female and male vocals. Some of the tracks are extremely long, but not tedious because you get a lot of variation. The band hovers between anthemic, symphonic stuff ("Infernal love") and raw Death Metal roughness. An important part of this versatile delivery are Frank Kronnagel's vocals. The front man's most impressive feat: epic "Master of humanity" - on that song, he manages all tempo and genre changes, giving off aggressive Power Metal shouts, rough growling, as well as clear ballad singing vocals. All that makes up for the voice of his partner Sara Lauthoff (she's also the keyboardist) which is a bit straining sometimes. A great choice for anyone thinking Theatre Of Tragedy have gone and become softies anyway.
