Excellent Service

On "Unto the Locust", the band from the Bay Area headed by lead singer Robb Flynn continues exactly where they stopped in 2007 with the wrecking ball "The Blackening": This album, however, features even more epic, breakneck guitar riffs breaking even more massive R/C walls of sound. From time to time, short breaks evoke a treacherous, fragile atmosphere like the calm before the storm. Machine Head prove once more that they never fail to rock our world. Helmets required!

    Who We Are

by Thomas Clausen (30.09.2011) Some forces of nature are on the loose very frequently - and have no lasting effects. Others, though, hit us rarely, but leave their distinct mark. Machine Head have always belonged to the second group; even these days, after almost two decades of excessive Metal mayhem, the Thrash pioneers are one of the most consistent and passionate outfits in the Neo Metal genre. An impressive proof of that fact is their seventh album "Unto the locust“ - front man Robb Flynn and his Bay Area crew pick up their devastating work where they left with their brutal opus "The blackening“ in 2007: even heavier neck-wrecking riffs collide with massive sound barrages, just interrupted by short, fragile and deceiving breaks. To cut a long review short: a lot of one-album-wonders may be the flavour of the month - but on the long run, there’s nothing like falling back on the real master blasters.
