This band could have ì taken the easy way and just record their hits, but no: they recorded a ì brandnew album, also because the last album dates back four years ago. I ì must admit that I was positively surprised how fresh and rocky the new ì material is. Solid, groovy and just honest. Best Southern Rock with all the ì charms of the genre. This album just radiates a positive feeling. Beginning ì with the powerful opener, "That's how I like it" via the boogie-oriented ì groover, "Sweet mama" to the beautiful ballad, "Red, white and blue" - just ì great music! Surprising also the bonus track of their hit, "Gimme back my ì bullets", in which none less than Kid Rock guests. A very well done recording ì and this track is heavy as hell. Lynyrd Skynyrd are still all but through ì with this business: "Vicious cycle" can only be recommended! (Jürgen ì Tschamler - 03/07)
