by Markus Eck (27.09.2007) If you thought that this Norwegian with the artist name, Sorg, has already shot his Heathen gun powder with the first album, "Fortapt fra verden i vakkert selvmord", you are proven wrong. Because what is now presented by the self-willed man with the rebel-like attitude on "Vikingtid og anarki" is simply delightful. Performed with determinedly courageous grim, he again offers highly epic and anthemnic Viking/Folk/Black Metal as it can only come in this masterly melodic way from Sorgsvart himself. The very distinctive, majestic, triumphing component has additionally increased. So, the listener can look forward to an impressive bouquet of first seizing and then lifting up goose-flesh passages. The explicit Folk share on "Vikingtid og anarki" is great, too – only chosen genre representatives perform so historically orientated. And Mr. Sorg is one of them. Definitely.
