by Björn Thorsten Jaschinski (18.01.2007) Eager file sharers or owners of the "15 years killing spree" box set will know a big part of the album recordings, as the "Created to kill" session with singer Chris Barnes. There were many sceptics who saw Cannibal Corpse at their end after his departure - until "Vile" as well as ten years later featuring the massive front man, George "Corpsegrinder" Fisher, have taught them something else. The creative input of the ex-Monstrosity singer already reflected on "Disfigured" and "Punctured wound massacre". Bold killers, such as "Orgasm through torture", "Mummified in barbed wire", "Eaten from inside", the video track, "Devoured by vermin" and the haunting "Bloodlands" further prove that he doesn't have to hide any comparison with his predecessor and that for the cannibals nothing has changed in terms of perversion, neither in their music nor in the lyrics. Instead of the two live songs of the digipack from 1996, there are 18 (!) songs from different shows in Berkeley Square in 1997 on a bonus DVD, featuring a whole bunch of classics of the Barnes-era, too.
