by Björn Thorsten Jaschinski (24.07.2009) Dutch all star outfit Hail Of Bullets is the Death Metal band of the hour: you get something new and fresh, presented by some seasoned veterans. And they should strike while the iron’s still hot: axe man Paul Bayens and fan fave Martin van Drunen are in the middle of a fulminant Asphyx comeback. And just like this mother of all Dutch Death Metal bands (ok, second guitarist "Stephan" is a member of Thanatos which are even older, but they have always leaned much more towards the Thrash genre), their great debut is followed by a mini album (limited to 2000 copies) containing three raw and brutal live gems (with German announcements) and three studio songs dealing once more with WWII topics. Fast "Warsaw rising" is about the riot in the Warsaw Ghetto, "Liberators" leads you in the bunker with its heavy leaden bass parts, and the cover version of Twisted Sister’s "Destroyer" (with more clout than the one by Benediction) is no sprinter either.
