With her expressive voice she enchants the listener and leads him into mystical worlds of fantasy. The vocal range of Stephanie is tremendous!!! From the beginning on, the band pulls their aces with the powerful title-track, “Wasteland” and the anthemnic “Selina” and should thrill all fans of the early Within Temptation. Here, the songstress is supported by Darkseed frontman, Stefan Hertrich, who also duets on the gloomy “Through the mists of Oblivion“ and the fast “Angels crying“ representing the vocal counterpart. You have to sit back and enjoy the songs and dream along. Atargatis should soon establish in the hearts of all black souls, especially because they show a lot of emotion and love for details in every song. A great gothic metal album of a band that should be on your lost from now on.
