by Jürgen Tschamler (07.01.2008) In 1999, the swedish Psychopunch entered the international scene with an album with the cult-like title, "We are just as welcome as holy water in Satan's drink". Alone the obscure album title made many look up, yet, what these guys presented on their debut was even more interesting. Ten edgy Punk Rock hymns that pleasantly lifted from the rest of the genre by the unique vocals and the unique guitar sounds. "Down in flames", "Straightjacket hell", "Back for good" and the phenomenal "Goodbye suckerville" of this album are still in the live set of the band. Since the album had long been sold out, this is the re-release with a great bonus-CD entitled "333 half as evil (Demo '98)". Eight songs, many of them used on later albums, in their demo versions, like e.g. the brilliant "Dying on my own" and "Pleasure kill". A re-release that is worth every cent; the bonus material is really cool.
