by Fury Gagarin (10.04.2006) Now, The Other wouldn't be somebody whom I would call lazy. Numerous national and international shows with e.g. Misfits, Balzac, Wednesday 13, The 69 Eyes, DRI, Cinema Strange, Meteors or The Real McKenzies have obviously brought the guys around Rod Usher forward. With “We are who we eat“ the band now releases a really great horror punk album. The mixture of punk rock, metal, death rock / batcave and rockabilly is cleverly arranged and balanced. It's a pity that I didn't have the original cover artwork, I'm sure there's a lot more love for details to discover. And finally there's a band info that doesn't lie, for “We are the other ones“ and “In the dead of night“ really ignite initially. So it doesn't surprise that even Rob Zombie contacted the band to congratulate them. I can only agree, and I hope that the band can also present themselves so convincing live in concert. Just remember: “We are who we eat“ or: “meat is my vegetable”!
