by Markus Eck (13.06.2008) Creatively, their source is the old mystic and spiritual power of nature - the Bavarian guys dwell on this subject with all due profundity on their second studio album. Very well, because that is the reason for the surprisingly aggressive charisma the permanently intense "Wiedergang" has to offer. Harsh and hefty staccato rhythms in all varieties make for some ecstatic dances around the cairns - in contrast to that, the quartet also has some sparsely epic nuances here and there up the sleeve. This cd is a silvery, shiny slice of an impressive pagan metal manifestation, and at the same time, it has a mysterious, dark, shimmery aura of fervency - the material is teeming with obsession. You may compare them with some of their peers (Kampfar, Himinbjørg und Helrunar, to name some), but the Bavarians work their very own field.
