Plus-Size Hoodies

A hoodie needs to fit comfortably, look good and show your sound to the outside world. In larger sizes, that means: plenty of room, a great fit and designs that don’t look like a compromise. At EMP, you’ll find men’s hoodies in XL to 7XL – from band merch and fan styles to eye-catching prints for everyday wear, concerts and relaxing on the sofa.

Plus-size hoodies for men – Comfort, statements and pop culture

A large-size hoodie should have a relaxed fit without looking like a last resort. At EMP, you’ll find men’s hoodies from XL to 7XL that combine comfort with a clear statement: band merch for your sound, rockwear for everyday life, horror styles for darker looks and fan merch from films, series and gaming. Whether it’s Star Wars, Harry Potter, Stranger Things, Batman, Peanuts or The Lord of the Rings: pop culture also belongs on your hood. On top of that, you’ll find basics, streetwear, gothic styles, festival looks and plenty of prints that do more than just keep you warm. Let’s take a look at which hoodies match your style and your fandom.

Band merch in plus size – From Metallica to Sleep Token

Band hoodies in plus sizes are available for almost every corner of the scene. Some designs focus on large logos, others on dark artwork, tour vibes or motifs that immediately look like your favourite album. In our range, you’ll find strong looks from classic bands to modern acts:

• Heavy Metal & Hard Rock: With Metallica, Iron Maiden and Motörhead, it’s all about legendary names and powerful designs. Black hoodies, striking front prints and classic band logos work just as well as dark artwork that looks ready for a festival and the front row.
• Modern Metal & Metalcore: Sleep Token, Electric Callboy and Five Finger Death Punch bring a different energy. Sometimes mysterious and dark, sometimes loud, colourful and full of attitude. These hoodies work especially well if you want your merch to feel more modern.
• German Rock: Rammstein and Böhse Onkelz stand for instant recognition. Strong lettering, minimalist colours and designs that don’t need much explanation are what count here.
• Crossover & Alternative: Linkin Park, Volbeat and Ghost are perfect if you move between rock, metal and alternative. Their designs are often easy to wear every day while still being far from boring.

Pop culture hoodies in XXL+ (Film, series & gaming classics)

Not every hoodie has to look like it belongs at band practice. Sometimes a logo from your favourite universe is enough, and the whole outfit just works. At EMP, you’ll find plus-size hoodies from many areas of film, TV and gaming:

• Fantasy & Sci-Fi: With Harry Potter, Star Wars, The Lord of the Rings or Game of Thrones, your hoodie quickly becomes a fandom statement. The designs range from crests and symbols to motifs that only true fans will recognise instantly.
• Horror & Halloween: If you prefer something darker, hoodies from worlds like The Nightmare Before Christmas or Stranger Things are a perfect match. Here you’ll find dark colours, striking designs and that classic eerie vibe that works well beyond October.
• Anti-heroes & Action: Deadpool, Batman and other Marvel or DC styles add a stronger comic edge. Ideal if your hoodie should not only be comfortable but also look like a tribute to your favourite character and a bit of action.
• Retro & Cult: Peanuts, Sesame Street and Looney Tunes bring childhood memories into your wardrobe without looking childish. The designs are nostalgic and perfect for days when your outfit can be a little more relaxed.

Style worlds of XXL+ hoodies – From rockwear to streetwear

Large sizes don’t mean: one fit, one look, done. These hoodies cover many different styles, from classic concert outfits to everyday streetwear. This way, you can find the jumper that doesn’t just fit but also matches your personal style.

• Rockwear: This is all about hoodies that look like concerts, festivals and your favourite band. Combine them with cargo trousers, jeans or a leather vest and your look is complete without much effort.
• Streetwear: Oversized fits, logo prints and an urban aesthetic make these hoodies especially suitable for everyday wear. Brands like Urban Classics, RED by EMP and Black Premium by EMP are a great choice if you want comfort without looking boring.
• Gothic: Dark colours, patches and occult symbols give the jumper more depth. The look works perfectly with black jeans, boots and band merch from the heavier side of music, especially if you love Black Metal or dark styles.
• Punk: This style can be a little rougher. Patches, badges and a slight DIY vibe turn the hoodie into the opposite of plain basics. Pair it with boots, checked trousers or a vest that looks like it already has a few stories to tell.

Frequently Asked Questions about oversized men’s hoodies

A hoodie should fit well, feel comfortable and suit you. In our FAQs, we answer the most important questions about sizing, materials, care and combinations, so you can find the right jumper model faster.

How do I find the right size for a hoodie?

Men’s oversized hoodies are available from XL to 7XL. Instead of simply guessing, it’s best to measure your chest circumference: measure all the way around the fullest part of your chest, underneath your armpits. Then compare the measurement with the size guide.

As a guide: XL corresponds to a chest circumference of around 110 to 117 cm, while XXL corresponds to around 118 to 125 cm. The range continues up to 7XL with around 146 to 150 cm. If you prefer wearing your hoodie loosely over a shirt or band tee, you can allow for a little extra room. Especially with hoodies, a relaxed fit usually feels better than a model that feels tight around the chest or stomach.

Are the hoodies made from cotton?

Many hoodies are made from cotton or a cotton blend. This feels comfortable against the skin, is durable and works well for hoodies that you wear regularly. Some models are even made from 100% cotton. You’ll also find many hoodies with a polyester content. This often makes the fabric more shape-retaining, easier to care for and slightly more resistant. Viscose is only used occasionally. If you want to know exactly what your hoodie is made from, simply check the material information on the product page.

How can I combine the hoodies for a complete outfit?

A hoodie can already make a statement on its own, but the right pieces turn it into a complete look. For rockwear, a hoodie works especially well with jeans, cargo trousers or a leather vest. Add boots and a band cap, and your concert outfit is ready without any hassle.

For streetwear, things can be more relaxed: an oversized hoodie, baggy trousers or joggers, trainers and a cap or beanie for everyday wear. If you prefer gothic styles, black jeans, chunky boots, rings, chains and a long coat work particularly well. For punk looks, combine your hoodie with checked trousers, a vest, patches and heavy boots. And with fan merch, you can match it with accessories, such as a cap, backpack or a T-shirt underneath.

Are the hoodies machine washable?

Yes, most hoodies can be washed in the washing machine. The only important thing is to check the care label first, as it tells you which temperature and programme are suitable for the material. For printed hoodies, it’s best to stay at a maximum of 40 degrees so the print and colours remain looking great for longer. Turn the hoodie inside out before washing, close any zips and wash dark colours separately from lighter items. The drum should not be completely full, so the fabric and print are not exposed to unnecessary stress. When drying, air drying is usually the better option than using a tumble dryer. Heat can damage the material and prints more quickly.
