Biker Jackets

Hollywood bad boys Marlon Brando and James Dean made them popular in the well-behaved 50s. And today, a biker jacket hangs in every well-stocked wardrobe. No wonder: originally conceived in the 20s as protective clothing for motorcyclists, the basic is outrageously casual. Even the cutest summer dress looks instantly rocky and rebellious in combination with this classic. As you can see, it's no longer just cool guys who wear this oldie - women also love biker jackets dearly.

That's why you'll find a wide selection of high-quality biker jackets for him and her in the EMP online shop. Get your favourite model now! This immortal basic never goes out of fashion and goes with everything.

No matter whether you're enthroned on your bike like the king of the world or you're more of a city rocker with a train ticket: a proper biker jacket is a must for you. It looks good, it protects you from wind and weather - it's your faithful companion. Leather jackets can withstand any downpour, you're just as well dressed at festivals as you are at home on a pub night or on an everyday shopping trip. So biker jackets belong in every wardrobe.

The biker jacket: one legend, many styles

With and without band patches, with different colours or in classic black: everyone can find the right biker jacket for them. Printed skulls, camouflage style and also inside prints with typical biker motifs are no exception. Plain biker jackets in colours like red or green look lively but understatedly simple. But the cuts are also different: not only are biker jackets for women cut differently than biker jackets for men - clearly. But the look can also be the deciding factor for cuts: a diagonal zip looks more fashionable than classic, a straight, single-fitting zip shows that you value functionality and simplicity. The typical side zip usually provides additional warmth, as the fabric folded over with it is attached, which then warms you up to your neck in cold weather.

The right fabric makes it

Biker jackets don't have to be the heavy, thick leather jackets that might first come to mind when you think of them. Jackets made of cotton or a mix of materials are no longer rare. This has several advantages for you! The most obvious one is that in the summer you simply shrink in leather biker jackets. Do you remember that time at the festival when you walked around in that jacket all day - at almost 30 degrees? And then when you took it off in the tent? Yes, exactly. Sometimes cotton is just the better choice. Also, textile jackets are very easy to wash, so even if you've been through the mud, a good wash in the washing machine will keep your biker jacket going for the next trip. If you don't like decisions at all, there is a solution: the body and the sleeves of the jacket can be made of different materials: one nice and airy, one nice and warm and both in one jacket - great! Otherwise, you still have the classic solution: leather as the outer material or synthetic materials are easy to wash off and remain attractive for a long time.

Your style - a question of details

Squiggly? Doesn't have to be! Even if the typical biker jacket for men and also the biker jacket models for women are usually kept very simple and straightforward, that is not the only way to wear them in style. If you simply feel like doing something different, you have a choice: patch pockets - slanted or straight - rivets or eye-catching zips - all of these can make a biker jacket unique and emphasise your appearance. Because in the end, it's still your style that you - and only you! - Find it here!

Whether you wear it with jeans, a suit or a costume, at a festival or on the job: this endlessly combinable all-rounder always goes. Good to know: Always shop for genuine leather biker jackets one size smaller. It's OK for the piece to fit tightly at first. After all, the material expands quite a bit when worn.

Biker jackets from EMP: freedom and rebellion in many designs

Waist-length with asymmetrical zip, zipped pockets and epaulettes: that's what the first biker jackets looked like. But: even oldies continue to evolve.

Today, the iconic women's and men's leather jacket comes in many different variations. They are all hip-length, but apart from that you have a wide range of different variants to choose from. From genuine leather men's biker jackets with stand-up collars to versions with lapel collars, from women's biker leather jackets with integrated hoods to versions with cuffs and waistbands, from retro models in classic black to versions in chic red and brown tones: the large EMP range leaves nothing to be desired. Whether you choose the faux leather jacket or real leather is, of course, entirely up to you. No one can tell the difference. However, imitation leather is easier to care for, while genuine leather is more stylish. And speaking of genuine leather, be sure to waterproof it before wearing it for the first time! Sudden rain will ruin your new favourite piece immediately. Treat the jacket with a special leather care spray, grease or oil. That way your new basic is protected.
