Though they’re stereotypically thought of as residing in the dark, it’s time to face facts: gothic and alternative fashion is having its moment in the sun.
One of the largest alternative subcultures of fashion worldwide is the gothic aesthetic. The long-gone outdates jokes have been replaced by a genuine understanding that this can be a chic, striking look – when done right. And EMP does it right. Tapping into the popular elements of the aesthetic, our gothic t-shirts offer a selection of texture, bold statement colours combined with a mysterious edge and, of course, plenty and plenty of black.
But gothic t-shirts and gothic fashion is more nuanced than people might have given it credit for – it’s more than just dark colours and dark spirits. There’s interesting cuts, patterns, unique finishes and appliques. A lot of gothic tops and alternative clothing plays with historical silhouettes and finishing touches, be it nods to boddices (think Bride of Dracula rather than bride of Mr Darcy, though). Patterns on gothic t-shirts can range from the supernatural – wolves, demons, folklore characters – to the ocular – moons, stars, astrology.
All of our gothic t-shirts are made from wearable, durable materials that make for perfect everyday wear. So if you’re looking to boost (or BOooooooooooo… ghost joke, geddit) your workwear or looking for a new selection of items to wear to gigs, there’s certainly something that’s the perfect fit from EMP.
EMP’s gothic tops and selection of alternative clothing includes t-shirts, hoodies, long-sleeved t-shirts and jackets. What’s better is all our gothic clothing is available for men, women, boys and girls – something for the whole Addams family, from Morticia to Wednesday. Shop the full selection today!
