Let’s not skirt around the issue – plenty of us want to wear a skirt without sacrificing our own sense of style. Not every skirt has to give off 1998 Britney Spears vibes – unless you want it to, of course.
With EMP skirts, you never have to worry about slipping into a fashion lane that isn’t uniquely you. You can still be alternative, gothy, emo, a rocker, a gamer, a Disney fan – whoever you are, we’ve got a selection of alternative skirts that are the perfect fit for anyone.
As an alternative to trousers, these great women's skirts offer countless combination possibilities. In summer, women's Röckees are particularly beautiful and airy. When it is colder, just put on leggings or tights and go out. With different tops and shoes, your skirt will look different every time. You will look at your wardrobe with new eyes. Apart from rockwear, there are also great pieces for goths or punks. Film fans will love it too.
Women's skirts in exciting lengths in our UK Shop
These skirts for women are long, short or half-long. So show a lot of leg or not much is the question. Long women's skirts with a soft silhouette have a seductive and sensual effect. Models with sheer lace are especially romantic and transport you to other worlds - a dream.
More of a hammer are the short ladies Röckees. With tights, boots and a pretty top you will rock any party in these pieces. These scanty R&o's are also really great for hot festival days. The half-length skirts go down to the knee. Apart from close-fitting cuts, these models are also available in the petticoat form. If you are addicted to rockabilly and don't want to wear a dress, these stylish petticoats are the right choice. The half-length models also include some basics. These simple versions go well with many different tops and shirts. So these basics belong in every wardrobe, because they don't steal the show from particularly elaborate tops. To make sure that everyone can find a model that suits them, these Röckes are available in sizes from XS to XL-XXL. Some tight mini skirts even come in a double pack.
Ladies' skirts: for comics and film fans
All fans of DC comics will discover women's skirts inspired by the get-up of the fearless heroines of these worlds. If you like the crazy and quirky Harley Quinn, you'll find a skirt to match. The only thing missing is the gum and the baseball bat. Witches also get great Röcke in the style of a school uniform to immerse themselves in the fantastic world of „Harry Potter“. These special ladies' Röcks will make the hearts of all film fans beat faster. Finally, you can transform yourself into your heroine: After all, you have been one with her in spirit for a long time.
Why EMP sell skirts in different styles, sizes and designs is to fix an issue we’ve long seen: the misconception that being alternative means you don’t enjoy wearing a skirt. Headline news this shouldn’t be, but you can love all things black, underworld and death metal and still enjoy having your legs free from the confinement of skinny jeans in our range of goth skirts. From short skirts to skirts with edgier appliques – heavier zips, studs, tears and more, our gothic skirts come in a range of inclusive sizes.
Skirts for film and music fans
You will also find gothic skirts and emo skirts at EMP with a pop culture twist, for those who love cult classics like the Nightmare Before Christmas or Kingdom Hearts. Still distinctly emo – think dark colours, distressed effects – but with prints inspired by iconic films or games from the entertainment universe.
Of course, our alternative skirts don’t all veer to the dark side. You can be playful and tongue-in-cheek with other skirts from EMP – such as a replica Riverdale cheerleader skirt. Ironic but still a little cool, we wont lie. A Tardis inspired short skirt is one for the Doctor Who fans – and for those who know their style is out of this world.
Whether it’s inspired by Ursula, the Little Mermaid’s camp villain or it’s a well-constructed skirt which eschews trends for timeless style, check out our full range of alternative skirts today. Complete the outfit with our accessories and tops.
We’re not in John Hughes’ The Breakfast Club – you can be a goth and still love to dress up. You can be ‘the popular girl’ and still love adding an edgier piece to your wardrobe. Discover every facet of yourself with EMP.
