Gryffindor uniforms and other merchandise at low prices
The true "Harry Potter" fans among you know the house colours of Gryffindor, because the mixture of scarlet and gold is hard to miss. Founded by Godric Gryffindor, the Hogwarts House with its heraldic animal - the lion - stands for courage, strength and bravery. No wonder Harry, Ron and Hermione are the most famous members. It is a great honour to be part of this house, which is why you too would favour the talking hat sending you to Gryffindor. You have both the fighting spirit and the seemingly innate antisympathy towards Slytherin, which is why there is no other place for you than in Gryffindor. We don't have the power to send you to Gryffindor, but we can prepare you accordingly when your great journey begins. In the Gryffindor Fan Shop at EMP you'll find pretty much everything you need to become a Gryffindor from head to toe. Of course, all in the appropriate house colours! In addition, you'll also find a few specials for the breakfast table, the Quidditch wardrobe, your jewellery box or your bathroom items in the EMP Online Shop. Of course, the "mascot" - the proud lion - of Gryffindor is included in some of the items for decoration.
Gryffindor: Admission for the bravest only
The Gryffindor common room has been home to many famous figures of the magical world, as many great wizards and witches have started their careers in this proud Hogwarts house. These include Albus Dumbledore, Sirius Black and Minerva McGonagall, James & Lilly Potter and the Weasly family. Behind the painting of the fat lady is this communal room and, of course, the dormitories for the boys and the girls. The students are given access by means of a password. The Gryffindor house ghost is the almost headless Nick, who also likes to explain the "almost headless" thing. A great talent of the Gryffindors is the game of Quidditch. But with the best Seeker in the magical world, that's no problem either, because Harry's sharp eyes really don't miss a thing.
Gryffindor Fan Facts
Fancy some magical fan facts about Gryffindor? No problem, we have picked out the coolest ones for you:
Fact 1: True Gryffindors
For the third part of the Harry Potter series, the director forced the three main characters Emma, Daniel and Rupert to write essays about their Gryffindor alter egos. Emma delivered a whopping 16 pages on Hermione's character, Daniel wrote a 1-page Harry essay and Rupert didn't even write a word about Ron. How fitting.
Fact 2: McGongall's Quidditch Past
Gryffindor tutor and professor Minerva McGonagall supports Harry in Quidditch to a great extent. The reason for this is probably her past, as she herself was once a talented player on the Quidditch field. However, after a nasty foul, she suffered severe injuries, which is why she gave up the game.
Fact 3: Autobiographical details
Hermione Granger is not only one of the smartest students from Gryffindor, but is also based on author J.K. Rowling in many details and behaviours. The talented witch was even given Rowling's favourite animal as a patronus: the otter.
Don't just feel like a Gryffindor, be a Gryffindor!
Your suitcase is almost packed, because most of your Gryffindor wardrobe still has to be shopped in the official Gryffindor Fan Shop at EMP. Here you'll find a wide range of fan articles for everyday wizarding and witching life, so you'll be well supplied if you have to spontaneously summon a Patronus or a Slytherin challenges you to Quidditch. Make sure you have a cosy Gryffindor dress code for the night or a lazy Sunday on the couch, because brave wizards and brave witches are allowed to indulge in that too. The main thing is that you're in top shape again when "You-Know-Who" tries to conquer your school for the umpteenth time.
Even if the talking hat has sent you to Gryffindor: why don't you take a look at Hufflepuff, Slytherin or Ravenclaw? The walls of Hogwarts await you.
