If, like many a Hobbit, you set your watch around breakfast, and second breakfast, and elevensies, these Lord of the Rings watches have come in the nick of time…

A follow-up Tolkien’s short novel The Hobbit, The Lord of the Rings (LOTR) became one of those rare examples of the sequel surpassing the original. Originally intended to be a single volume of work – sold as a two-volume set with Tolkien’s The Silmarillion - the gargantuan story was eventually released as three individual titles: The Fellowship of the Ring, The Two Towers and The Return of the King.

The Lord of the Rings was already huge, but it became stratospheric after the release of Peter Jackson’s first movie adaptation in 2001. Not only did the first LOTR film bring the story of the powerful ring, the brave Baggins hobbits and a treacherous journey to Mordor to life, it introduced new generations to the world of Tolkien. Across three years, the three LOTR movies earned a collective $2.9 billion and won 17 Academy Awards.

Available in our EMP store, the Lord of the Rings watches include a wearable, openable pocket watch on a necklace. Reminiscent of the type worn by Bilbo Baggins, when you open the necklace, the engraving on the clock face reads: ‘I’m Going On An Adventure!’ A perfect gift for yourself or a fellow LOTR fan.

A watch is a timeless accessory and LOTR is a timeless franchise, so it only makes sense that it’s time for a Lord of the Rings watch. Shop for yours today – and check out the other Lord of the Rings accessories in our store.
