by Markus Eck (12.08.2009) Surprise, surprise - on their twelfth studio album, Megadeth show a lot of regained creative power. Main man Dave Mustaine and his tight crew sometimes quote their own heyday - the popular Thrash and Speed outfit was well-known and loved for their killer melodies until the mid-90s. "Endgame" is the sensation all fans, be it veteran or fresh ones, have been waiting for since then. The Californian Metal stars haven't been so technically brilliant, intoxicating, versatile and overall convincing for many years. Mustaine is the riff prodigy he has always been and demonstrates impressively that he is still a force to be reckoned with. Produced by Andy Sneap and Dave Mustaine, this new wild thing leaves nothing to be desired. Nuff said.
