Hence the title "Erwachen" ("Awakening"), "Erwachen" starts in the past and goes the whole 9 yards until today with an exciting mixture of medievil Folklore and synthesizers and electric guitars. Unlike Subway to Sally Saltatio Mortis gives every style the same importance. This procedure makes the result so very thrilling: the music doesn't sound like a mix of old and new but rather genuine. As if there was no other way. If you listen to the album carefully it will take you away to a dream world, which is exactly what Saltatio Mortis are trying to achieve. Have fun awakening!
