by Patrick Schmidt (null) As insiders might know The Crown are noone else but former Crown of Thorns who had to get rid of their thorns due to similarities in names to an American hardrock band. But not in the musical sense. On the contrary, the brutal Swedes even increased the amount of anger and hate on their third longplaer "Hell is here". Death/trash metal has reached a new level of brutality! Although "Hell is here" sounds like a true hardcore album in the sense of Agnostic Front, Earth Crisis or Madball, The Crown do not deny their death/black metal roots. Harsh screaming, several blast parts or simply traditional death metal riffs form a basis for refreshing hardcore eruptions which in cmbonation with the raw sound make up a totally new sound experience. Might be interesting for a lot of people!
