by Patrick Schmidt (April 2005) The Dutch Born From Pain go for the big throw and signed with Metal Blade which should provide the band with another popularity kick. The guys come from the hardcore scene buit like many of their colleagues have a lot of metal in their veins which is underpinned by the fat Tue-Madsen-production. Great mosh parts meet metallic solos, cool breakdowns meet thrashy riffs. If you manage to stand still with shells like "Rise Or Die", "Judgement" or the giant "Raging Heart" you have either grown roots or you are deaf. "In Love With The End" is best food for all fans of Hatebreed, Merauder or Biohazard. Born From Pain should be difficult to stop after this sweep. Live this quintet is a class for themselves anyway. A must have for all who love it heavy, modern and with groove. Great! (Patrick Schmidt - April 2005)
