by Matthias Mineur (April 2005) As a convinced metal fan you have to have Brainstorm on the list meanwhile. For years, singer Andy B. Franck and his fellows prove that they are one of the most consistent and most ambitious power metal bands in Germany. Their songwriting has improved from album to album, the power of their studio productions have reached reference status. With their new album, 'Liquid Monster', they now managed to refine the dynamics of the guitar riffs with melodic vocal lines all through. So, not only the refrains are earwigs par excellence, also the verses are absolutely convincing. Obviously, the many concerts of the last years and the many positive feedback of the fans have further welded the band and the fans together. And if Brainstorm now with their great opus, 'Liquid Monster' finally tour Europe with headliner shows I can only conclude: after Edguy there is another German band up to prepare the transition of power of the new generation.
