by Yvonne Zymolka (23.01.2008) For almost twenty years, this concert recording previously only available on video tape had been out of store. Just in time for the start of their "Somewhere back in time"-Tour on 1st of February in India, Iron Maiden react with an exceptional release. On two DVDs with a total playing time of over five hours, the 90-minute, digitally remastered recording of the four shows in the Long Beach Arena, California, 1984, is being presented in two sound options: the original stereo sound and the 5.1 Dolby Surround. Afterwards, DVD 2 will quieten all critics because with three hours of documentations, promo videos and picture galleries, Maiden think big as usual. Quality and quantity are awesome, talkative Bruce keeps his promise that Iron Maiden doesn't do it for the money. Furthermore, this DVD makes you euphoric, somehow. May is result from the music, the dated gym-outfit of the band, Mister Dickinson's pony-hairs or the wisdom that Heavy Metal will never die: sure is that "Live after death" is more important than bread and beer!
