by Olaf Plotke (14.09.2007) One year after their debut album, Human Zoo release their sophomore album, "Over the horizon". And again, the German Hardrockers are at their best. I'm sure, producer Dennis Ward who has lifelong experiences with his own, ingenious Hardrock band, Pink Cream 69 had a huge impact – but the praise should not only go to the Metal veteran. Simply because Human Zoo's sound is too much their own. They have a refreshing mixture of classic 80s-Hardrock and Power Metal of the 21. Century in store. That means great melodies with hooks, and yet, always with a good portion of heaviness. Consequently, Human Zoo never appear like a Bon Jovi cover band or so dull that you fall asleep in front of the speakers. On the contrary: "Over the horizon" is a 47-minute ride through the most beautiful regions of Hardrock. If this is what the future sounds like, Rock will never die.
