"Praises to the war machine" CD by Dane, Warrel

In their dramatic ballads, Warrel Dane since "The sanity assassin" gave a hint of what he is emotionally capable of. By this unique, warm voice, "Praises to the war machine" is always accompanied by a vulnerable, thoughtful and melancholic aspect. Even if Dane, like in the verses of "Messenger" (killer chorus!), screams in the most energetic regions. In the Sisters Of Mercy-cover, "Lucretia my reflection", he sings unusually deep and clear. Like expected, the material is less psychotic than in Nevermore – also Peter Wichers (ex-Soilwork, composer of the raw Nuclear Blast anniversary album) explores new facets. There is no lack in impressive heaviness "Obey", yet, the highlights are what a record label mate called men Emo: the wonderfully relaxed "Your chosen misery" and "This old man".
