A vocal advocate who never shied away from life’s dark truths – through their lyrics and his own personal bravery – Chester spoke candidly about depression. This is why their legacy endures. The band paved a way for a new sound to go mainstream but Linkin Park helped amplify a new voice – a vulnerable one, a rarity in the rock genre.
