10.And Then There Was Silence
by Matthias Mineur (null) Since the pre-released first single, "And then there was silence", it was clear to the fans of the German Bombast Metallers that they should not expect a cheap fast-food album. Also in 2002, Blind Guardian stand for bombast in perfection, for tracks with epic length, for opulent choir vocals, fat arrangements and plenty of technical neaties. Sure, also for "A night at the opera" (not to be mixed with the Queen album of the same name), the listener needs more than 2 or 3 listening session to get into the inner logic of the songs. If you're consuming music just incidentally you should try another band. But if you are looking for music to live with you're guaranteed you'll be satisfied with "A night at the opera". This album will make up for the long break to the next album.
