Excellent Service

Incredible: With their album „Wrath“ Lamb Of God missed by a hair's breadth the no. 1 in the US billboard charts in 2009 - and this although the work is more aggressive and thrash-like than former releases. Randy Blythe has not defused his vocals at all.

by Florian Drees (29.01.2009) According to the title, the new Lamb Of God album is full of rage and ire, but listening to "Wrath" and its atmospheric, beautiful intro, I think of anything but that... That changes abruptly when the first rocket ("In your words") is ignited. After that, it’s one lift-off after the other: "Set to fail", "Contractor", and "Fake Messiah" are on their way to my brain! To give me with a breather, there’s this short, but wow! Acoustic intermezzo on "Grace"... And off we go again, really every song being unique and innovative. Lamb Of God have hit the bull’s eye once again with their fifth studio output - of course, there’ll be the traditional world tour to present the fans with the new material (they should be in Europe at the beginning of this year).
